COSTA RICA

Rain Forest Aerial Tram
The Rain Forest Aerial Tram is the unique eco-tourism and research facility that takes visitors floating through the Costa Rican rain forest canopy, with its hanging garden of plants and animals held high in the tops of tall tropical trees. The canopy is home for two thirds of all rain forest species, and the Aerial Tram site, on the northern border of Braulio Carrillo National Park, possesses one of the richest canopy communities in the world. Visitors are able to enter that formerly inaccessible world and closely observe the canopy's varied life forms. The tram is also used for scientific investigation, and is the brain child of pioneering tropical biologist Don Perry. We also pass through Braulio Carrillo National Park, one of Costa Rica;s largest protected areas, which holds some 6,000 species of plants, and most of the endangered animal species found in Costa Rica.
