Early morning departure for Gandoca Manzanillo National Wildlife Refuge located on Costa Rica's caribbean slopes. Afternoon arrival at Almonds & Corals and time at leisure. Highly recommended is the Uva Beach. 2nd Day * Gandoca-Manzanillo
Rise early! After breakfast, we depart for our walking tour of Manzanillo Wildlife Refuge, located between the Atlantic Ocean and the region's largest stand of virgin rain forest, the Talamanca Mountain Range. Crocodiles and tapirs live here in the swamps, lagoons and mangrove forests around the mouth of the Gandoca River. Turtles visit the beaches here too to lay their eggs (June to July) especially the enormous leatherback turtle. Lunch back at the Tent Camp. Afternoon to do some exploring on your own. Meals BLD

Morning at leisure. At noon, transfer back to San Jose (box lunch included). Meals BL
