ITINERARY
 
1ST DAY • U.S. / SAN JOSE
Arrival in San Jose International Airport where you will be met by our representatives. Transfer to the charming Alta Hotel overlooking the Central Valley , high in Alto de las Palomas.

2ND DAY • REVENTAZON RIVER
This morning you will be picked up from your hotel by your white water rafting guide to
head off on a two-hour scenic drive to the Reventazon River. The Reventazon starts with relatively easy rapids, but as your skills increase, so will the power of the river. Just before you arrive at the take-out you’ll be ready to paddle the most challenging rapids. Afterwards, transfer to Selva Bananito located at the foot of Cerro Muchilla in the province of Limon . Built on the Stein family farm, Selva Bananito Lodge and Reserve generates income from tourism for the protection of its private rain forest and for the funding of various conservation programs in the region - namely Fundacion Cuencas de Limon. Established in 1997, this non-profit foundation has become a leader in water-shed protection and educational programs. Your lovely private cabin is flanked by the Bananito River and valley to one side and the Muchilla Mountain and Amistad Biosphere to the other. Dinner and overnight at Selva Bananito Lodge. 3RD DAY • SELVA BANANITO
After breakfast, invigorate yourself on our Rainforest Hike. After a gourmet lunch, depart for your introductory Tree Climbing tour. You’ll learn how easy it is to use the specialized equipment to venture up into the Rainforest canopy. Enjoy a bird’s perspective of the tropical forest as you ascend 20 to 50 meters using this secure system of ropes, harnesses and ascenders. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight. Meals BLD

4TH DAY • SAN JOSE
After breakfast, enjoy the scenery from the vantage point of the saddle. Our horseback
riding tour will take you through the farm’s gardens and pastures to an organic banana plantation for a scenic overview of the area and fresh coconut water break. Transfer back to San Jose and the charming Hotel Alta. Meals BL

5TH DAY • TANGO MAR
After breakfast, transfer to the airport for your short flight to the Pacific coastline. Upon arrival in Tambor, you will be met and transported to the secluded oasis at Hotel Tango Mar. Check-in to your luxurious Tropical suite where a welcome cocktail, resort tee-shirts, fruit basket and fresh flowers await your arrival. Enjoy a delicious dinner in Tango Mar’s Restaurant, a dining experience worth remembering… Meals BD

6TH DAY • TANGO MAR
The entire day will be spent at your leisure to enjoy the sun, sea and splendid isolation of this hideaway resort. Another culinary experience awaits… weather permitting, you can have a romantic dinner with a bottle of wine served on the beach. If it is not possible, you can choose to have this dinner any of the three nights you are at the hotel. Meals BD

7TH DAY • TANGO MAR
Today will be the last day to linger beneath the graceful shade of the palm trees or lounge by the pool. Savor yet another spectacular dinner at Tango Mar’s restaurant. Meals BD

8TH DAY • TANGO MAR / SAN JOSE
Enjoy a leisurely breakfast before your flight back to San Jose . You will be transferred to the Alta Hotel where you will have a free afternoon to do some souvenir shopping or simply hang out at the pool. Be sure to try La Luz Restaurant at the Alta, it has been rated one of the best restaurants in the country. Meals B

9TH DAY • SAN JOSE / U.S.
Morning transfer to the San Jose International Airport for your return flight back to the U.S. Meals B
