History
Sunny
Land Tours was established in 1964 by Elie Sidawi.
Elie grew up in Lebanon, and as a young man he was
working for one of the largest tour operators in
the world. He started Sunny Land Tours
immediately after coming to the United States, and
in a mere couple years Sunny Land grew to be one
of the largest specialists to Egypt and the Middle
East, and had been known as a Mediterranean/Middle
East specialist tour operator until early 1980s.
By
mid 1980 company expanded its product line to
Central America, and as a result of this move
Costa Rica has become one of Sunny Land's most
important destinations.
Sunny
Land has been recognized and received many awards
by the governments of Kenya, Turkey, Egypt,
Jordan, Venezuela and Costa Rica for its help in
developing tourism to these countries.
Today
Sunny
Land Tours today is a financially stable tour
operator and a member of USTOA
$1 Million Consumer
Protection Plan. After 36 years, and
tens of thousands of satisfied customers, the
company still grows at a pace of 15% annually,
though it chooses to remain as a privately held
family business.
Sunny
Land provides a friendly and nurturing atmosphere
to its employees, and thanks to this majority of
the company's employees have been with the company
over 10 years, which translates into having a very
competent and knowledgeable team to serve clients
better.
