ITINERARY
 
1ST DAY • U.S./SAN JOSE
Arrival in San Jose International Airport where you will be met by our representatives. Transfer to the charming Alta Hotel overlooking the Central Valley , high in hills of Alto de las Palomas.

2ND DAY • ARENAL VOLCANO
Morning departure from San Jose for your private 2 1/2 hour transfer to Arenal and the charming Arenal Springs Resort and Spa. Make sure to reconfirm your spa appointment. Your package includes a choice of a Volcanic Mud Body Wrap treatment or a Swedish massage. Both are 50 minute treatments and should be reserved in advance. Overnight at the Arenal Springs Resort and Spa. Meals B

3RD DAY • LA FORTUNAWATERFALL HORSEBACK TOUR
An unforgettable half-day adventure awaits you. You will begin with an hour of horseback riding through beautiful trails. From there you will hike down to a swimming hole fed by the pristine water of The Fortuna Waterfall, where you will have a chance to take a dip. Return to the hotel for an afternoon of leisure or for your scheduled spa appointment. Overnight at Arenal Springs Resort and Spa. Meals B

4TH DAY • ARENAL/MANUEL ANTONIO
Morning at leisure. At noon your will be taken to meet your local flight from El Tanque (just 15 min. away) to your final destination Quepos and the jewels of Manuel Antonio National Park. Upon arrival you will be met and transferred to your beautiful hotel La Mansion Inn , Manuel Antonio. Situated on a mountainside overlooking the Pacific Ocean and Manuel Antonio National Park , the Inn is just minutes away from pristine beaches, sport fishing at Quepos harbor, and the local airport. Located in Manuel Antonio, near Costa Rica 's famous National Park, La Mansion is nestled in one of the last remaining "natural zoos" of the world. The Inn is of elegant Mediterranean design featuring interior displays of original paintings by some of Costa Rica 's top artists. An eco-friendly project, most water at the Inn is heated by solar energy. Although La Mansion is grandiose in its physical appearance, it houses only 6 breathtaking suites and 12 deluxe rooms. Your room offers a spectacular view of the Pacific Ocean and Manuel Antonio. By limiting the number of rooms, an exceptional level of personalized service is delivered to each and every guest. 5TH DAY • MANGROVE / DAMAS ISLAND BOAT TOUR
Let our world-class, highly trained, bilingual guides and naturalists steer you peacefully
and comfortably in our high-tech, ultra-quiet estuary boats as the wildlife comes to you –
sometimes right into the boat! Experience curious families of monkeys as they migrate across the mangrove ecosystem. Wind through acres of a protected, pristine Costa Rican
estuary as your experienced guides point out the stars of today’s show: Caimans, sloth,
crocodiles, boas, white face monkeys and egrets just to name a few. You will wind
through the mangrove channels along the gentle currents of the coastal tides. And finally, end your adventure with a relaxing yet rewarding meal in typical Costa Rican flavor at a local “hot spot” restaurant before you return to your hotel. This tour depends on ocean tides and has duration of 5 1/2 hours. Meals BL (or BD depending on tour time in accordance with ocean tides)

6TH & 7TH DAY • MANUEL ANTONIO NATIONAL PARK
Two full days completely at leisure to explore one of the world's most beautiful beaches, Manuel Antonio. Nature lovers will enjoy these protected lands. The evergreen forest of this national park (closed Mondays) reaches down to a fine white sand beach, bordered by a crystal clear warm tropical ocean. Manuel Antonio houses a variety of animal life. Take advantage of exciting optional excursions (see optional tours from Manuel Antonio on page 5). Horse back ride, raft the challenging Class III-IV Rio Naranjo, go dolphin watching, take a sunset dinner cruise or experience the natural treasures found at the Rainmaker Conservation Project. On you last night enjoy an in room dinning experience as the staff of La Mansion Inn prepares your farewell dinner at sunset serving it to you on your terrace as an opportunity to reflect on your wonderful Costa Rican experience. 8TH DAY • QUEPOS/SAN JOSE/U.S.
Morning transfer by La Mansion’s private sedan to the local airport for your return flight to San Jose where you will be met and assisted in time to connect with your international flight back to the U.S. Meals B
