STANDARD ROOM: Guest accommodations consist of 36 comfortable rooms with private bathrooms, hot water, ceiling fans and chairs for a pleasant, relaxing evening. Hotel facilities include two docks on the canals, swimming pool with Jacuzzi, two family-style restaurants with local and international cuisine (one specially designed for groups and incentives), BBQ, bar, souvenir shop, relaxing ranchos with hammocks, natural trails, beach access in walking distance, sand volleyball court, and and conference room where daily lectures on Tortuguero's natural history are presented. ITINERARY:
Day 01:
06:00-07:00 a.m. Pick up at major hotels in San José area.08:00 a.m. Stop for a typical Costa Rican breakfast at Río Danta Restaurant in Guápiles
09:00 a.m. Departure to Caño Blanco dock in Siquirres area.
10:45 a.m. Arrival to Caño Blanco. Board Mawamba’s boat for your ride to Tortuguero and Mawamba Lodge.
1:00-1:15 p.m. Arrival to Mawamba Lodge. Enjoy lunch at the pool restaurant.
03:00 p.m. Explore with your naturalist guide our local attractions including the butterfly farm, frog farm and garden, ranarium, aquarium, bio-digestor, and gardens.
05:00 p.m. Free time to enjoy the pool, jacuzzi and surroundings or simply relax.
07:00 pm Dinner at the pool restaurant.
Optional night walk into private trails (year round)
Optional night tour to observe the turtle nesting.

Day 02:
06:00 – 08:00 a.m. Free time to join any of the optional tours offered at the lodge (boat tour, kayaks, guided walk).08:00 a.m. Return for breakfast at the lodge.
09:00 a.m. Departure by boat to our private trail, where you will enjoy a guided walk into the tropical rainforest.
12:30 noon: Lunch at the pool restaurant.
03:00 p.m. Afternoon canal boat tour.
05:00 p.m. Return to the lodge and free time.
07:00 p.m. Dinner at the pool restaurant.

Day 03:
08:00 a.m. Breakfast at the lodge09:00 a.m. Meet at main dock for return boat ride to Caño Blanco dock.
11:00 a.m. Arrival to Caño Blanco. Board the bus for the return drive to San José.
01:00 p.m. Stop for lunch at Restaurant Río Danta in Guápiles.
01:45 - 02:00 p.m. Return drive to San José.
03:30 – 04:00 p.m. Arrival time in San Jose and drop off at your hotel.
