Cuna del Angel (Cradle of Angel) is the result of careful planning and research of the best way to create an exclusive and cozy boutique hotel amidst the surroundings of exuberant tropical jungle forest, in the lobby of the Earth’s most ecologically diverse area. Cuna del Angel is the realized dream of Tom, a German from Munich, who came to this land and instantly fell in love with its tropical surroundings and the relaxed way of living. Astonishing views, all along the South Pacific Coast of Costa Rica, are the red carpet that leads the way to this intimate and warm construction in Colonial and Native Costa Rica’s style; a celebration of the encounter of cultures, where the best of both worlds meet, keeping the glamour and elegance of a modern and civilized world, and evoking the spiritual world of the indigenous cultures that inhabited our small yet rich country.

ANGEL DELUXE: Angel Rooms are richly decorated with Colonial and Asian details, all with ocean and jungle view from their covered terraces or balconies with modern commodities: A/C and two ceiling fans, DVD Player, Cable TV, WiFi access, Mini bar, Safe, Coffee Maker, Private Bathroom with bathtub/shower and hairdryer, Alarm clock, telephone. Deluxe Rooms have one queen size bed or two beds (queen + full size).

JUNGLE ROOM: Our 9 Jungle Rooms, Standard Superior category, are decorated in Caribbean style with balconies looking at the tropical forest, a perfect spot for birds and wildlife watching. A magical contact with nature with modern commodities: A/C and ceiling fan, Cable TV, Mini Bar, Safe, Private Bathroom with shower and telephone. Jungle Rooms have one full size bed or two separate twin beds. These rooms are located infront of the public areas of the hotel in the forest. The main access is by stairs (about 40 steps).

SUNSET VILLA: Built in 2008 out of wood with a size of 70 m2 (755 sq ft) it has 1 bedroom with A/C, 1 bathroom, 1 living room with cable TV / Tel., a fully equipped kitchen with fridge, washing machine and dryer, an ample terrace with mosquito screening all around and a coldwater Jacuzzi. The property in the midst of rain forest, directly at the shore on ridge, 95 m above sea level, is gated and has a beautiful direct sunset view with the sounds of the waves meeting the shore below.

VILLA CAN ZURIEL: Built in 1998 with a beautiful jungle and ocean view, the 120m2 house has two bedrooms with A/C and 2 bathrooms. A combination living room, fully equipped kitchen and library with cable TV, telephone, wireless internet. Outside under a wide roof you find a huge terrace for spending your day and having your lunch and dinner with the kidney shaped pool right next to it.
