The Hotel is privileged, as hardly any places in the world are, to be one of the few reserves of primary tropical forest in the hands of private owners. Within the property 4 rivers of pure, clear and pristine water spring up from the ground, one of which constantly fills the swimming pool of refreshing mountain water. It borders areas protected by the government of Costa Rica amongst which are the Arenal Conservation Area and the Children’s Eternal Forest which belongs in part to the Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve. As you walk along our trails you will pass through creeks and waterfalls, where you can observe an immense amount of species of birds such as the trogon, the oriole, toucans and many more. As you continue on you will admire the Morpho butterfly, white face monkeys, howler monkeys, toads, armadillos, snakes and more. You will be surprised by the huge variety of plants, orchids and trees some of which are over 400 years old.

DESCRIPTIONS OF THE ROOMS: All the rooms are nestled inside the spectacular forest where the hotel is located. Their wooden structures will make you feel as though you are a part of this living tropical forest. The rooms surrounded by rivers and primary forest will create a favorable atmosphere for your nights and moments of rest to become a very relaxing experience.
You will fall asleep listening to the murmur of the river and will be awaken by the birds singing or pecking on your bathroom window.
The hotel features 22 lovely wooden bungalows with two queen beds, fan, spacious front deck and private bath with hot water inside a glass enclosure including the roof to admire the beauty of the surrounding forest.
